Colonel Emerging Leader Award
Wilkes University’s Colonel Emerging Leader Award is a pre-scholarship granted to high school juniors who demonstrate academic and leadership potential. Nominated students would be guaranteed a minimum of $10,000 per year at Wilkes University.

Nominees must meet these requirements to qualify:

  • Current high school junior
  • Minimum 3.25 (4.0 scale) / 85% (100% scale) grade-point average
  • Minimum 1000 SAT, 21 ACT or 900 PSAT score
    • NOTE: If PSAT, SAT, or ACT exams have not yet been taken, nominee must demonstrate continual, active participation in two extracurricular programs, two community service projects, or a combination of both.
       

Saint Michael’s College Book Award for Academic Achievement & Social Conscience
 

The Saint Michael’s Book Award is intended to celebrate students who exhibit characteristics of an ideal Saint Michael’s College student. Eligible juniors for nomination must be:

  • Academically Successful

They attain mostly A’s and B’s in Honors, AP, IB, or Dual Enrollment classes and are likely inductees of the National Honors Society or equivalent.

  • Socially Conscience

They show a sustained and sincere commitment to community service, issues of peace and justice, and concern for others.


This award comes with significant scholarship opportunities at St. Mike’s, ranging from $16,000 to full tuition.
