The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey

Posted Date: 01/27/26 (02:33 PM)

On February 27, Germantown students will get a special treat: The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey is coming to our school for a full day of live performances for grades 5–12!

  • In the morning, grades 5–8 will see a performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, a  magical comedy filled with fairies, mistaken identities, and love gone hilariously wrong.
  • In the afternoon, grades 9–12 will watch Macbeth, a dark, gripping tragedy about ambition, power, and the dangerous cost of unchecked desire.

This is the first time this incredible opportunity has been extended to upper elementary students in grades 5–6—a huge milestone for our school community!

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey is known for its dynamic, fun, and highly engaging programs. Through live performances, workshops, and residencies, students experience the power of language, the excitement of live theatre, and build skills—critical thinking, listening, and interpretation—that last far beyond the classroom.

We’re thrilled to bring this unforgettable cultural experience to our students and can’t wait for the curtain to rise on February 27!
