Germantown Elementary Library Makerspace

Mrs. Tanner and Mrs. Melino's 4th grade class visits the library an extra day each rotation for Makerspace, where our Clipper engineers explore STEAM elements with hands-on learning experiences.
Our first module "took off" with learning the elements of flight: weight, lift, drag, and thrust. We applied these elements to the construction of paper airplanes - and tested our prototypes this morning! Our next step as engineers is revision: how will adding weight in the form of paperclip affect the trajectory? Will increased wing span support further distance?
