25th Anniversary of 9/11

Today, on the 25th Anniversary of the 9/11/01 terrorist attacks, Germantown Central School remembers and honors the victims and heroes of those devastating events. Thanks to the amazing generosity of David Hughes and Dave's Tree Service, the "Twin Tower Trees" that were planted here, so long ago, were trimmed, and rejuvenated, and a giant American flag atop of Dave's bucket truck, was flown high over the school for the day. As students visited the trees, and the flag, they had an opportunity to learn about the history of today, and to reflect on how we can all carry on a legacy of kindness and bravery. A new, permanent plaque, donated by Mr. Lecce and the G.C.S. History Club has been placed in front of the trees.
